Blue wild indigo is a show-stopping, shrub-like forb that thrives in a range of soil conditions with full or partial sunlight. It takes a few years to establish, but once it does, it is very hardy, resisting both deer and drought. It is attractive to pollinators as well as birds, and its roots harbor nitrogen-fixing bacteria, making it a beneficial species for the health of your garden. Blue wild indigo also features beautiful, dark seed pods, providing seasonal interest to your garden throughout the fall and winter.
